AdAlign vs Tailor: measure first, or personalize first
Tailor and AdAlign both connect to your ad accounts and look for ads that send traffic to a page that doesn’t match. Tailor is built to personalize: it rewrites copy, swaps images, reorders sections and tests the result against the original. AdAlign is built to measure: every live ad scored against its page, the spend at risk per landing page, and a daily check for drift, with text-only page variants as a controlled second step. Running lots of page tests? Tailor goes further. Need to know which ads are costing money on the wrong page, and keep knowing it? Start with AdAlign.

What they have in common
- Connected to your ad accountsBoth read your live ads and the pages they point to, instead of waiting for someone to paste URLs.
- Mismatches ranked by spendBoth flag ads that send traffic to a page that doesn’t match, and put the expensive ones first.
- A human approves page changesNeither publishes AI-written copy to your site on its own. Someone on your team signs off first.
- Tested against the originalBoth hold back part of the traffic on the original page and report the difference.
Side by side
| Tailor | AdAlign | |
|---|---|---|
| Built around | Personalizing landing pages by traffic source and segment | Measuring every live ad against its landing page, then fixing the worst pages |
| Ad platforms | Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn | Meta and Google Ads; TikTok, LinkedIn and Reddit ads one at a time via the free audit |
| Mismatch detection | Flags ads pointing at mismatched pages, ranked by spend. The deeper Ads Audit is Google Ads only, on Pro and Enterprise | Every live Meta and Google ad scored against its page as it goes live |
| Score per ad | Not listed on Tailor’s public pages | A score out of 10 on four dimensions (Visual Match, Message Match, Above the Fold Continuity, Tone Alignment), weakest dimension named |
| Headline number | Expected conversion and CAC impact per test idea | Spend at risk: last-30-day spend on ads scoring below 5, per account, page and ad |
| What it changes on the page | Copy, images, CTAs, section order, and new components such as banners, popups and quizzes | Text only, in beta: headline, body copy and call to action |
| Testing | 50/50 split against the original by default, with confidence labels | Holdout (50% by default); lift reported once each arm has 100 visitors, including when the rewrite loses |
| Watching your own pages | Alerts on traffic drops, UTM attribution loss and low dwell | Landing pages re-checked daily, re-scored on change and flagged Stable, Pending or Drifted; a live variant pauses itself if the page changes underneath it |
| Needs code on your site | Yes, for personalization: one client-side script, usually via a tag manager | Only for Variants. Scoring, spend at risk, drift checks and reports work from the read-only ad connection alone |
| Pricing model | Basic $250/mo (up to 25k tailored visitors, 1 ad account); Pro and Enterprise on request | From €590/mo, priced by monitored ad spend (seats and accounts unlimited). 30-day paid pilot, €1,500, credited to year one |
The real difference: what comes first
Tailor’s loop starts with the page. It finds a segment worth tailoring, drafts a version, you approve it, and it runs a test. Mismatch detection feeds that queue of test ideas.
AdAlign’s loop starts with the ad account. Every live ad gets a score against its page on the same rubric, spend is attached to every score, and pages are ranked by what they cost. The output is useful before anything changes on your site: a media buyer can pause or re-point an ad, a web team gets a ranked report, an agency has a number for the client call. Variants come after that, limited to text, behind a human publish button and a holdout.
Which one fits
Choose Tailor if…
- Personalization testing is the main goal and you want to change images, layout or add components, not only copy
- You run LinkedIn Ads and want to personalize for that traffic
- You want visitor identification and CRM connections (HubSpot, Salesforce) in the same tool
Choose AdAlign if…
- You want a score for every live Meta and Google ad against its page, with the spend at risk next to it
- You manage several clients or brands and need one QA standard, client workspaces and shareable reports
- You want value before touching the site: diagnosis, drift checks and reports need no code
- You prefer a flat price by ad spend over paying per personalized visitor

Common questions
Is Tailor AdAlign’s closest competitor?
Yes, as far as we can tell. Both connect to ad accounts and look for ads that point at mismatched pages. The difference is where each one puts its weight: Tailor on personalizing and testing the page, AdAlign on measuring every ad against its page, pricing the gap and watching for drift.
Why does AdAlign only change text?
Because most ad-to-page mismatches are in the words: the headline doesn’t repeat the promise, the offer isn’t above the fold, the CTA asks for something else. Keeping variants to three text slots makes them easy to review, safe to publish on a live site and easy to attribute when the holdout comes back. If you need layout, image or new-component changes, Tailor does more there.
Do I need to install anything to use AdAlign?
Not to get the diagnosis. The read-only Meta or Google Ads connection is enough for scores, spend at risk per page, daily drift checks and reports. The AdAlign tag is only needed when you want to publish page variants.
How do the pricing models differ?
Tailor prices by the number of tailored visitors per month and the number of connected ad accounts, per its public pricing page. AdAlign charges a flat monthly price set by monitored ad spend, with unlimited seats and ad accounts, and starts with a paid pilot on your own data.
Can we use both?
Yes. Some teams will want AdAlign as the measurement layer across every live ad and client account, and a dedicated personalization tool for the pages where a bigger rebuild is worth testing.
